The Valley of Decision
Though "judgment begins with the house of the Lord", this last chapter in Joel focuses on God's Judgment (Day of the Lord) on ALL Nations and Peoples. All who have rejected God, will stand before Him. While this includes Israel's enemies, this is ultimately a picture of the final judgment at the end of history. Whenever the Bible speaks of the end times – Jesus’ 2nd Coming, Final Judgment – it is so that Christians (Believers) will be strengthened and know where their ultimate hope lies – in Christ and in God’s final redemption and restoration – AND so that unbelievers would come to the place of decision BEFORE they find themselves in the “valley of decision”! We will examine how knowing what will happen at the end affects us NOW."
