CloseThe Lord accuses Israel (put on trial) of having "no faithfulness, no steadfast love, and no knowledge of God" (4:1). Their lack of knowledge (knowing) God is central to their failure to be faithful to God and their lack of knowing God results in much decay, decline, and ruin for Israel. But though they do not know God, God knows them - He sees right through them. And lastly, God seeks to get their attention so that they will truly acknowledge their sin and seek His face. As His people now, do we truly know the Lord?
