Sow the Wind, Reap the Whirlwind
God once again calls out His people - this time for "forgetting" (neglecting) Him and instead "sowing after the wind". They have sowed after that which is "empty and illusive and vain". Several ways they have sown after the wind rather than sowing after God are described in this chapter. Because they have sown the wind, God pronounces that they will "reap the whirlwind". They will be judged... How are we guilty of forgetting (neglecting) the Lord and sowing after the wind? The Bible also states that we will "reap what we sow". We are called to sow to the Spirit and not our flesh as followers of Christ!
