Joy in Pressing On
We will continue in our series on the JOY of the LORD this Sunday - "JOY in Pressing On" from Philippians 3:12-21. While salvation in Christ is assured for the genuine believer because it is God who saves, the fullness of our salvation is yet to be "attained". That is why many metaphors used in Scriptures for the Christian life are centered on "pressing on" - fighter, runner... Paul describes what pressing on looks like in the Christian life and how to keep running. And in this running towards Christ, there is great joy!
