What Motivates a Christian
Paul speaks of two driving motivations in the life of the Christian: 1) The Fear of the Lord 2) The Love of Christ. We need both. We need to know God's holiness and greatness and His love and closeness. Both the fear of the Lord and the love of Christ motivate the Christian to live for Christ, serve Him, and obey Him.
