Proud and at Ease
Amos pronounces "woes" on those who are "at ease" in Israel and Judah. He describes those "at ease" in various ways - presumptuous, indulgent, indifferent, etc... and at the root of their complacency and ease was Pride. And in their pride, God will judge and bring them down. When it comes to pride, this passage also reveals what pride can do to us. And we are challenged with the question - "what will you do with your pride?"
