CloseAmos' prophecy begins with judgment on the neighboring nations of Israel and Judah. Their sins and transgressions have accumulated and God, in His justice, will punish them. God's judgment continues to Judah and finally Israel - God's chosen people will also be justly judged. This section highlights that God is Just - to "not His people" and "His people". He is patient to punish sin, but not forever. And His judgments are right. And thank God for Jesus because without the Cross of Christ, God could not be Just and the Justifier of sinful men!
