IN Adam, IN Christ
If a person who is a Christian is now "IN Christ", what were they before they became a Christian? Who were they "IN" before Christ? The Apostle Paul addresses this important question in this passage. ALL people are related to Adam - IN Adam. And through Adam came sin and death for all. But through Christ and His perfect obedience came justification and life for ALL who are IN Him! While we may want to blame Adam for the sin he passed on to us, we should rejoice that Christ's work on the Cross has passed on to us!
